TOKU MAHI NA Zion

Hello.  My name is Zion.  My Toku Mahi post means, My Work.  This post will contain all my online work over the year.  I hope you enjoy it.  I am 12 years old.  My favourite food is pizza.  My favourite colours are blue and green.  My favourite sport is Netball.  My goals for this year are to get better at Jump Jam and swimming.  :)

TURANGAWAEWAE FESTIVAL

Jump Jam 'rock this party'

On the 24 of February at 4:00 pm me, Ruby and Amelia were at Parklands school for the Turangawaewae multi cultural festival ready to sell lots of things.  The year 7 and 8s had a kiwiana store which had ice-creams, cup cakes, canned drinks, $1 and 50 mixtures and punch.  In other stalls there was huge pieces of watermelon, pottles of chips and the famous fried bread.  There were alot of costumes  and activities too.  On stage there was Jump Jam, island dancers and singers and lots more. :)

AWAROA TRIP

Tomorrow we will catch a Wilson's boat to Awaroa.  We will go on a walk and look at the old homestead.  I can't wait. :)

AWAROA RECOUNT

The reasons we went on the trip were:

Part of SS, to make our history live and to get more fit.

Kaiteriteri to Awaroa


The highlights for me were:
Seeing the stingrays, going on the walk, seeing the homestead and going on the Wilson's boat.


The benefits for me were:
To gain more fitness, learn about the history and to appreciate modern living.

DUFFY THEATER

On Wednesday the 14 of March the whole school came and watched the Duffy Theater.  It was a story about The best book in the world.  Duffy and Scruffy were brothers. They found The best book in the world in a garage sale box.  The book was called Marvel.  Marvel told Duffy all about the adventures she had while Scruffy tried to get Duffy to play with him.  Marvel had been on a sailors' boat stuck in storm.  She had been put in a school library and went to space.  She'd been chosen for a birthday present and finally went on an adventure with Duffy and Scruffy, but we didn't find out what the adventure was.   

It was funny and very entertaining.
